What inspires Elle Phillips?
By introducing Southeast Asian-Filipino cuisine, Elle strives to provide a unique dining and cultural experience. Born and raised in the Philippines, she was immersed in influences from more than a hundred distinct ethnic groups found throughout the archipelago. From the super spicy food culture in the north to the beloved sour and salty flavours of the south, Elle has mastered the complexities of these flavours, delighting the palate. Hence Elle's Kusina brand is born.
Elle's approach to Filipino cuisine is traditional with a twist of the contemporary. By combining some of her favourite comfort food with locally sourced ingredients, her food brings a homely yet chic experience to catering and dining. Elle used her knowledge of pairing flavours and local sourcing of unique, high quality produce, to create Stockholm Charcuterie.
Having lived in Stockholm for a number of years, Elle saw the opportunity to diversify the culinary options available in the city. With almost two years serving the Swedish Gastronomic scene, she has found a fresh way to elevate the typically Filipino welcoming and family oriented hospitality, right in the heart of Stockholm.
